Oculoplastic Symposium 2024

On 27th April 2024 , the First Oculoplastic Symposium was held at Abottabad, under the umbrella of POA . The event was hosted by the ophthalmology department of Ayub medical college. The chief organizer was Associate Professor. Dr. Danish Zafar. (Chairperson of the Ophthalmology Department of Ayub Medical College).

The President POA , Professor. Dr. Khwaja Khalid Shoaib , General Secretary POA Professor. Sofia Iqbal. Ex. President POA Professor Ibrar Hussain, Finance Secretary POA Dr. Mohammed Idris were the speakers. Professor. Zulfiqar and Dr. Danish Zafar also presented on topics related to oculoplastics.

The speakers presented on Eye Lid Trauma Management, Ptosis Management, Entropion Management and Ectropion Management. The idea was to re fresh the knowledge of oculoplastics of the general ophthalmologists and to encourage them to manage such cases with confidence. The common surgical procedures were taught step by step. It was a well attended meeting by both the PGs and the consultants of Abottabad, Mansehra, Muzaffarabad and Peshawar
